Dont you get it

Posted: November 4, 2010 by Mitran in Uncategorized

I just came back from office. Mitran ran towards me and said Dada, you are back. You have to give me iPad. Dont you get it?. His exact words were surprising to me first time. I later noticed that its a new trend where he wants something and he wanted to make sure that he gets it by saying Dont you get it?.

Its amazing to see the growth of kids by picking words from TV and other kids to evolve. He is picking up new words faster than before and asking the meaning for new words when he hears them.

Mitran 4th Birthday

Posted: October 12, 2010 by Mitran in Uncategorized

Simple celebration. He got sick and we cancelled his trip to NJ or to my brother’s place.

We went to the temple and we stopped at Framingham station to watch his famous train.

A day of fun

class=alignnoneWe started from home this morning with no plans. But the end of the day, we did more than ever we planned a trip. We took a train pass and went to Fenuil Hall, Boston and watched a street performer. We had nice lunch there. This juggler was good.

Took another train and stopped at Park street and saw another dance group and we saw last few minutes of performance. We put our contribution and moved on. We visited the typical shady store which sells Cell Phones, DVDs, games and others.

We moved on to the Boston Common and it was really nice. First time, Mitran went into the water and played with no fear or none of us with him. It was a good crowd and we did go on the carousal 3 times. We then moved on to the other side of the commons. Here we saw there patriots dressing up and shooting those guns and marching around. We saw them for more than an hour and enjoyed it (along with a Fried Dough). Divya took pictures of the squirrel.

We then took a bus from there to Mass Ave and came back to Prudential in train. We wanted to go to the observatory on Prudential tower. We went up but came back without seeing it. We then went to the Barnes Noble and spent lots of time in there.

Highlight was this movie at the end of the day at the Prudential Towers. It was a pretty good movie Planet 51. Mitran enjoyed it and we came back again taking T all the way to Malden and drove home. We were not tired but lots of fun in 1 day.

I didnt have my cell phone at all !

Waki wake sleepyhead

Posted: May 25, 2010 by Mitran in Uncategorized

I remember my dad in childhood about the techniques to wake me up. He used to turn off the fan in my village where the temperature will be around 80s.

The table is turned already. Now its my sons turn. He got used to playing with iPhone in the morning for about a week. Now he is addicted to it. So, he Ill wake up at 7am and comes to my bed and use the following tricks.

- Trying to be nice by saying Waki wake sleepyhead. Time to play!
- Dada. Wake up! We need to play

Its amazing how fast kids change with what they have provided with their time. Now I wake up with an ease to give him a lecture or iPhone in the mornings.

Its fun.
